The Christmas Fair over at Kirklands last weekend was a great success – thank you to all those who made it happen. You might have baked, booked Santa tickets, dressed up, volunteered on stalls, bought hot dogs or filled jam jars: whatever it was, it was important. We are delighted to report that we raised £3,771.47 this year! Happy Christmas to you all!

We were honoured to partner with the Light Up Menston group again and I think we delivered a great event, hopefully next year can be bigger and better. But to achieve that, we would need many more parent volunteers, we really struggled to get the help we needed for the fair. The FoMPS committee is actively looking for more parents to join the team – we are particularly short on KS1 parents! We are without a chair since the AGM and the treasurer is also ready to step down – the committee is ready to receive some new leadership to carry it into 2022 and beyond. If you think you have something to offer this team of dedicated volunteers, if you want to raise money and organize quality activities to broaden school life, if you are great with numbers or want to give something back to your community, then get in touch!  You can visit the website for more information on committee roles; you can just email; or just approach a member of the committee to chat about it.

The FoMPS Christmas Window Trail is still ongoing and you can get your map by emailing or there are paper copies available at Pickards Deli. Families all around Menston have decorated their windows and lit up their homes and gardens for you to enjoy. Find out where they are by getting a map and giving a small donation to FoMPS – it is something to do in the holidays!
